The Starving Artist theatre now has a new and exciting opportunity for you to become more involved in the arts by joining its new grant program “Feed the Artists”. You can adopt your own starving artist. By adopting an artist your donation will provide a scholarship for that artist. You will receive information about your artist’s career and future performances. Exchange letters and emails with your artist learning more about this world known as “theatre”. Grants are to benefit the artist’s craft and the development of their talent. Donations are tax deductible and are as follows:

Guidelines and qualifications
All actors, playwrights, artists, and stage crew who have been previously contracted for a Starving Artist production automatically qualify for a grant at the Waiting Tables level. To be awarded at a higher level or to apply for the first time for a scholarship please send a three page essay stating your goals as an artist, and your intentions for the grant. All submissions should come complete with resume and contact information.
Grants will be awarded twice a year in December and June. Deadline for the December date is September 15. Deadline for the June date is March 15.
