Lee Michael Krempel BIOGRAPHY
My name is Lee M. Krempel, and I was born in Baltimore on March 13th 1982. We moved away from B’more when I was 8 and headed to Ocean City, Maryland, which is where I did most of my “growin’ up.” To tell you the truth, I didn’t go through many “What I wanna be when I grow up” phases. To the best of my knowledge, my first career path was to be an archeologist. I was about 6 or 7 then. But in 3rd grade, everything changed, and it would never change back.
I was 8 years old when I decided that I wanted to be an Actor/Film Director/Screenwriter/Novelist/Genius. As funny as it is to read back over that list with all it’s “slashes” and to realize that at least one of those titles is quite unlikely (no comments), I have to say that that list has remained unaltered since it found it’s way into my soul 16 years ago sitting in an Elementary School classroom.
After graduating from High School in 2000, I attended college for 2 years (where I did some Dessert Theatre). I left college to do a Missions program called Master’s Commission based in Hagerstown Maryland, in which I ended up spending 3 years (where I did some Dinner Theatre).
And that has led me to where I am now: Still living in Hagerstown and back with a vengeance to pursue all of my dreams! I was very lucky and blessed to have stumbled upon the wonderful Starving Artist Theatre and its unique vision. This summers show, “Farce!”, was my first professional gig and I know will be the first of many. I feel like a racehorse who has been sitting behind the starting gate for too long, but now the gate has gone up, and it’s off! Now I can add another profession to that list…Metaphor-ian.
Until next time, God bless and I’ll see you when the curtain rises!
PEACE!
